Prospects for developing direct air links were discussed by Timur Sultangozhin, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Greece, and Eftychios Vassilakis, Chairman of the Board of AEGEAN Airlines.
Kazakhstan Enters AEGEAN Airlines’ Field of Interest
Vassilakis said the airline is studying opportunities to develop new international routes, including destinations in Asia.
In this context, Kazakhstan is being considered as one of the potentially promising markets for future air connections.
No decision to launch a new route was announced following the meeting. The two sides agreed to continue working contacts and exchange information.
Direct Air Links Could Gain New Momentum
The talks also focused on expanding direct air services between Kazakhstan and Greece.
The Kazakh side expressed readiness to develop cooperation with Greek airlines.

Sultangozhin briefed AEGEAN Airlines on developments in Kazakhstan’s aviation sector.
