The focus was on citizens’ rights. Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates discussed consular cooperation and the protection of the rights of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, DKNews.kz reports.

The meeting was held with Muhammad Al Mansouri, Deputy Director of the Consular Services Department of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Director General for Artificial Intelligence.

Protection of Kazakh Citizens Was a Key Topic

The sides focused on two main areas: the development of consular cooperation and the protection of the rights of Kazakh citizens.

No new agreements or specific changes to consular assistance procedures were announced following the meeting.

Consular Cooperation Directly Concerns Citizens

Protecting the rights and interests of Kazakh citizens is one of the core functions of Kazakhstan’s consular institutions abroad.

For this reason, talks with the relevant department of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs focused on practical cooperation between the two countries, including consular issues affecting Kazakh citizens.

Al Mansouri Oversees Both Consular Affairs and AI

One notable detail of the meeting was the UAE official’s dual role.

Muhammad Al Mansouri serves as Deputy Director of the Consular Services Department at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs while also holding the position of Director General for Artificial Intelligence.

However, the official information identified consular cooperation and the protection of the rights of Kazakh citizens as the main subjects of the talks. No separate artificial intelligence projects were mentioned.
