Kazakhstan has proposed a new educational track. The initiative includes scholarships for master’s programs at Dubai-based MBRSG, training opportunities for Kazakh civil servants, and the involvement of the school’s faculty in lectures and academic consulting, DKNews.kz reports.
The proposals were discussed during a meeting between Rauan Zhumabek, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UAE, and Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, President of the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG).
Kazakhstan Proposes Master’s Scholarships at MBRSG
One of the most concrete proposals was to consider providing scholarships for Kazakh students to pursue master’s degrees at MBRSG.
If developed further, the initiative would expand cooperation between Kazakhstan and the UAE in public administration directly into the training of a new generation of specialists.
Rauan Zhumabek also noted that Kazakhstan is modernizing its higher education system, with particular attention to training next-generation professionals and developing science and artificial intelligence.
Short-Term Programs Proposed for Kazakh Civil Servants
Another area of cooperation concerns professionals already working in the public sector.
The Kazakh side proposed organizing short-term professional development programs for civil servants, while also involving MBRSG faculty in lectures, training sessions, and academic consulting.
This format would combine formal education with practical exchange of expertise in public administration.
MBRSG and Kazakhstan Mark 10 Years of Cooperation
Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri noted that this year marks 10 years since the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between MBRSG and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
He said cooperation between the two institutions has developed successfully over the past decade.
Al Marri also proposed holding joint events dedicated to the anniversary of the partnership.
Education and Public Administration Gain New Areas of Cooperation
Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their intention to continue strengthening cooperation in public administration and implementing joint educational initiatives.
The agenda now includes several specific areas: master’s scholarships for Kazakh students, training programs for civil servants, participation of MBRSG faculty in lectures and academic consulting, and joint events marking the 10th anniversary of cooperation.
