Creative industries are becoming a separate area of cooperation. Kazakhstan and South Korea are considering K-PARK as a promising platform for collaboration in film, digital content, gaming, and other creative sectors, DKNews.kz reports.
The project’s prospects were discussed by Asset Yessenali, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Korea, and Kim Yun Ji, President of the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA).
K-PARK Considered a Joint Platform for Kazakhstan and Korea
One of the key topics of the meeting was the further development of the K-PARK project.
The sides view it as a promising platform for cooperation in creative industries and cultural content. The project’s specific parameters, implementation timeline, and the format of KOCCA’s participation have not yet been disclosed.
Potential cooperation could cover several areas, from content production to professional exchanges and specialist training.
Film, Gaming and AI Enter the Cooperation Agenda
The scope of potential cooperation goes beyond traditional cultural projects.
Kazakhstan and KOCCA discussed digital content, film, animation, the gaming industry, artificial intelligence, startup support, and professional training.
For Kazakhstan’s creative sector, cooperation with the Korean agency could provide access to advanced practices in developing and promoting national content in international markets.
KOCCA May Join Events During Tokayev’s Visit
A separate part of the talks focused on the upcoming visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Republic of Korea.
The sides discussed KOCCA’s possible participation in events scheduled as part of the visit. The specific format of that participation has not yet been announced.
This places creative industries on the agenda of high-level cooperation between Kazakhstan and South Korea.
Kazakhstan Seeks to Promote Its Creative Products Abroad
KOCCA is a government agency under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea. It is responsible for developing the country’s creative industries and promoting Korean content internationally.
For Kazakhstan, cooperation with KOCCA could support not only the adoption of Korean expertise but also the promotion of Kazakh creative products in foreign markets and the expansion of international ties for local companies and professionals.
