Astana is gearing up for the global race for capital. On September 9–10, Astana Finance Days 2026 will bring together more than 5,500 participants from over 80 countries, including representatives of global investment firms, banks, stock exchanges, fintech companies and regulators, деп хабарлайды DKNews.kz.

Hosted by the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), the 9th forum will be held under the theme Astana Finance Days 2026: Delivering Impact. Capital in Action. The agenda will focus on turning capital into tangible investments, projects, transactions and long-term partnerships.

More than 5,500 participants from over 80 countries

AFD 2026 is expected to bring together investors, bankers, asset managers, technology companies, regulators, government and quasi-state institutions, and international businesses.

More than 5,500 participants from over 80 countries are expected to attend the forum this year.

Since its inception in 2018, Astana Finance Days has developed into one of the leading financial forums in the Eurasian region, supporting capital market development and creating new business opportunities in Kazakhstan.

With global competition for capital intensifying, such platforms have an increasingly practical role: companies looking for financing meet investors and institutions capable of making capital allocation decisions.

BlackRock, Goldman Sachs and Asian exchanges join the forum

The speaker line-up underscores the international scale of AFD 2026.

Confirmed participants include representatives of BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, Bloomberg, FTSE Russell, Binance, Mastercard, Brookfield, Hong Kong Investment Corporation, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, Shanghai Stock Exchange and China International Capital Corporation.

Among them are Ben Powell of BlackRock, Yilmaz Kocagoz of Goldman Sachs, Jad Ellawn of Brookfield, David Sol of FTSE Russell and Sallianne Taylor of Bloomberg.

Kazakhstan’s major financial and corporate players will also be represented, including Freedom Holding Corp., Air Astana and ITS.

Timur Suleimenov and Zhaslan Madiyev among the speakers

Kazakhstan’s public and financial sectors will have a strong presence at AFD 2026.

The confirmed speaker list includes Zhaslan Madiyev of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Timur Suleimenov of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, Yelena Bakhmutova of the Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan and Timur Turlov of Freedom Holding Corp.

The technology segment will feature representatives of Binance, Mastercard, Telegram/TON and other companies.

Capital will be linked to the real economy

AFD 2026 will go beyond broad discussions about financial markets.

Its key themes include capital markets and investment products, trust infrastructure covering regulation and law, market confidence, institutional-scale innovation, financing the real economy, and regional and cross-border capital cooperation.

For Kazakhstan, these discussions are directly connected with attracting international capital and strengthening the infrastructure through which local businesses can work with global investors and expand into international markets.

AIFC will showcase business cases from its ecosystem

Particular attention will be given to the opportunities offered by the Astana International Financial Centre.

The forum will feature business development case studies within the AIFC jurisdiction, ranging from company growth stories to successful capital raising and international market expansion.

Another major element will be the AFD Exhibition.

The exhibition will bring financial institutions, banks, investment and asset management firms, fintech companies and technology projects together in one space to showcase their solutions, products and achievements.

For participants, this creates an opportunity to move from panel discussions directly into meetings with potential investors, partners and industry leaders.
