ZEEKR is changing its strategy in Kazakhstan. The brand, which has so far officially sold only fully electric vehicles in the country, plans to enter Kazakhstan’s premium hybrid segment for the first time by the end of 2026, DKNews.kz reports.
The new lineup will include the ZEEKR 8X and the flagship ZEEKR 9X, while the fully electric range will be expanded with the ZEEKR 7GT. Orbis Auto is the official distributor of ZEEKR in Kazakhstan.
ZEEKR will no longer be an EV-only brand in Kazakhstan
The biggest change concerns ZEEKR’s product strategy in the Kazakh market.
The brand’s current official lineup consists of three fully electric models: the ZEEKR 001, ZEEKR X and ZEEKR 7X. Once the new vehicles arrive, the lineup is expected to double from three to six models: four EVs and two hybrids.
This means ZEEKR will, for the first time in Kazakhstan, offer vehicles that combine an electric drivetrain with an internal combustion engine.
For buyers, the most practical difference will be on longer journeys. According to the company, the hybrid system is designed to retain the advantages of electric propulsion while providing greater driving range for long-distance travel.
ZEEKR 9X will become the flagship of the new lineup
The top model in the new range will be the full-size ZEEKR 9X.
It is built on the high-voltage SEA-S architecture, developed specifically for premium hybrid vehicles. The SUV will feature the SEA Super Hybrid system, which combines electric propulsion, an internal combustion engine and ultra-fast charging technology.
The ZEEKR 8X will be launched alongside the 9X and will also become part of the brand’s new hybrid range.
One of the most important details for prospective buyers, however, remains unknown. Kazakhstan-specific prices, trim levels and full technical specifications for the 8X and 9X have not yet been announced.
ZEEKR says the information will be released closer to the official market launch.
More than 1,400 customers have chosen ZEEKR in Kazakhstan
The move into hybrids comes after several years of ZEEKR’s official presence in the country.
According to Aigerim Tulegenova, Director of ZEEKR Distribution in Kazakhstan, more than 1,400 customers have already purchased ZEEKR vehicles through the official dealer network.
“More than 1,400 customers have already chosen ZEEKR through the official dealer network in Kazakhstan, and their trust is our greatest value and responsibility. The next important stage for the brand is to expand the official model lineup and enter the premium hybrid vehicle segment. By the end of 2026, we plan to introduce the ZEEKR 8X and the flagship ZEEKR 9X, while the EV lineup will be expanded with the ZEEKR 7GT. Our priority remains unchanged: a professional dealer network and a premium customer experience throughout every stage of vehicle ownership,” Tulegenova said.
Orbis Auto has been ZEEKR’s official distributor in Kazakhstan since 2023. Information about official sales and service locations is available through the Orbis Auto dealer network.
ZEEKR 7GT will arrive alongside the hybrids
ZEEKR is not stepping away from fully electric vehicles.
The fourth EV in its official Kazakhstan lineup will be the European-specification ZEEKR 7GT. The company describes it as an electric grand tourer combining performance, technology and practicality for both everyday use and long-distance driving.

Prices for the ZEEKR 8X and 9X have not yet been announced
ZEEKR plans to launch three new models in Kazakhstan by the end of 2026: the 8X, 9X and 7GT.
The exact positioning of the two hybrids in Kazakhstan’s premium car market will become clearer once local prices and specifications are released. The company has not yet announced the final pricing, trim levels or official premiere dates for any of the three vehicles.
Once the launches are complete, ZEEKR’s official Kazakhstan lineup is expected to grow from three models to six, with two hybrids joining the brand’s EVs for the first time in the local market.
