Enrique Iglesias wrapped up his first Kazakhstan tour on September 5 with a stadium-scale show that turned the city’s Central Stadium into a giant singalong and dance floor, DKNews.kz reports.
The Almaty concert followed his September 3 performance at Astana Arena, completing a two-city debut that placed Kazakhstan on the itinerary of one of the world’s best-known Latin pop artists.
Organizers said the two shows once again demonstrated the country’s growing role on the international touring map, with major productions now reaching both Astana and Almaty.

Thousands of voices nearly drowned out Enrique Iglesias
From the opening songs, the Almaty audience became part of the performance. Fans sang along from the stands and fan zone, danced and filmed the show as Iglesias moved between the main stage and an additional stage positioned deeper inside the stadium.
At several moments, thousands of voices singing familiar hits nearly overwhelmed the artist’s own vocals.
One Almaty resident said the concert carried a strong sense of nostalgia.
“I’ve been listening to Enrique since I was a teenager, and so many memories are connected to his songs. I never thought I would one day hear them live here in Almaty. When the songs I’ve known for so many years started playing tonight, it was an incredible feeling — as if I had gone back in time for a few minutes. I was standing there, singing along, and simply couldn’t believe that I was finally hearing Enrique live!” the concertgoer said.
Iglesias repeatedly approached the edge of the stage, spoke with the crowd and reached toward fans. He also walked along a long catwalk leading to the secondary stage in the middle of the venue, prompting fresh waves of applause each time he moved closer to the audience.

Kazakhstan saw Iglesias’ revamped stadium production
The Kazakhstan concerts came shortly after Iglesias’ show had undergone a major production overhaul.
According to the organizers, American concert-production specialists who work with internationally known performers were involved in developing the updated format. Kazakhstan therefore became one of the markets to see the new large-scale version of the show.
In Almaty, the production extended well beyond the stage itself.
Thousands of synchronized wristbands worn by spectators illuminated at once and changed with the music. Waves of light moved through the stands while fire effects, stage lighting and the crowd combined into a single visual production.
For a stadium concert, that detail mattered: spectators were no longer simply watching the lighting design from a distance. The entire venue effectively became part of it.

Enrique Iglesias brought different generations into one stadium
The Almaty show also revealed the unusual longevity of Iglesias’ catalogue.
Some spectators had followed him for decades. Others belonged to a younger generation introduced to his biggest songs by their parents.
One fan described sending recordings from the stadium to her mother.
“My mom and I have always listened to Enrique together. His songs were constantly playing in our home, so for me they will always be associated with my childhood. When I heard them live today, I immediately thought of her. I recorded videos and sent her our favorite songs. I only wish we could have come to the concert together — I think she would have loved being here,” she said.
The crowd also included visitors who had travelled to Almaty from other cities and countries specifically for the concert, according to the organizers.
That mix gave the event significance beyond a single fan base: a catalogue built over decades was filling a Kazakhstan stadium with listeners who discovered the same songs at very different stages of their lives.

Astana opened the tour, Almaty delivered the finale
Iglesias arrived in Astana first, performing at Astana Arena on September 3 in what became his first concert in Kazakhstan. Two days later, he took the stage at Almaty’s Central Stadium for the final stop.
The schedule had been announced months earlier as a two-city Kazakhstan run, with the singer choosing the country’s two largest cities for his debut performances.
For Kazakhstan’s live entertainment market, the sequence is significant. International acts requiring stadium-scale infrastructure are increasingly able to build more than one Kazakhstan stop into a tour rather than treating the country as a single-city destination.
The organizers said they were particularly pleased to bring thousands of people together again in Almaty for another major international music event.
By the final songs on September 5, the crowd was still standing, dancing and singing with Iglesias.
His first Kazakhstan visit ended not with an additional tour announcement, but with something more tangible for the local concert industry: two stadium performances in two cities within three days.
