Ambassador Adil Tursunov attended the state funeral of Norway’s King Harald V in Oslo, DKNews.kz reports.
The ceremony brought together members of the Norwegian royal family, representatives of foreign royal houses, heads of state and government, members of the Storting, Norway’s parliament, diplomats and public figures.
Kazakh diplomat signs official book of condolences
Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Norway, Adil Tursunov, signed the official book of condolences as part of the mourning events.
He also attended the farewell ceremony for King Harald V at Oslo Cathedral.
Around 1,000 guests took part in the state funeral, including members of royal families from Norway and abroad, national leaders, parliamentarians, representatives of the diplomatic corps and members of the public.
Haakon VIII succeeds Harald V
Following the death of King Harald V, the Norwegian throne passed to his son, who became King Haakon VIII.
Kazakhstan also conveyed its condolences to the Norwegian royal family at the highest level.

The diplomatic gesture followed President Tokayev’s formal message of condolence and underscored Kazakhstan’s participation in the international mourning events in Oslo.
The farewell to Harald V marked the end of one chapter in Norway’s monarchy, while the accession of Haakon VIII opened a new one.
