Kazakhstan and the United States discussed the reliability of energy export routes and stable supplies to global markets during a meeting between Kazakh Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov and US Ambassador to Kazakhstan Julie Stufft. The discussions also covered regional energy security and current issues in bilateral energy cooperation. Both sides expressed interest in strengthening their strategic energy partnership and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
Following the meeting, they confirmed their readiness to continue dialogue through the Strategic Energy Partnership framework and support investment and joint energy projects. The ministry’s statement did not identify specific projects, investment amounts or export routes.
