Astana and Moscow reaffirmed their current course.
During talks in New York, the foreign ministers of Kazakhstan and Russia focused on implementing bilateral agreements and coordinating their positions on international platforms, DKNews.kz reports.
Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Focus shifts to implementing existing agreements
The two sides discussed the current state and prospects of Kazakhstan-Russia bilateral cooperation.
They also reviewed the implementation of agreements reached at the highest and high levels, as well as other pressing issues on the bilateral agenda.
No new political format was announced following the meeting. Instead, the talks focused on carrying out previously reached agreements and maintaining existing mechanisms of cooperation.

Tleuberdi and Lavrov also exchanged views on current regional and international issues.
