Almaty is set to become a major energy meeting point.
From September 30 to October 2, the city will host the 30th anniversary edition of KIOGE 2026, bringing together 500 companies from 30 countries, DKNews.kz reports.
The event will focus not only on oil and gas production, but also on export routes, artificial intelligence, gas chemistry, digital transformation and Kazakhstan’s future role in the global energy mix.
According to the organizers, the anniversary edition of KIOGE will expand its international reach, with companies from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Austria, the United Kingdom, Germany, India, Italy, China, Malaysia, the Netherlands, the UAE, Oman, Russia, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the United States, Türkiye and Uzbekistan among those taking part.
500 companies will showcase technology and business opportunities
For Kazakhstan’s energy sector, KIOGE 2026 is designed as more than a traditional industry exhibition.
Participating companies are expected to present technological solutions, procurement programs, practical case studies and potential areas of cooperation with oil and gas operators.
That gives equipment manufacturers, service companies and technology suppliers a direct opportunity to connect with major industry players operating in Kazakhstan and across the wider region.
The scale of the event also reflects the continued international interest in Kazakhstan’s oil, gas and energy market.
Kazakhstan’s role after 2030 moves to the center of the agenda
The main event of the business program will be the 30th KIOGE International Conference, scheduled for September 30 and October 1.
This year’s theme is “From Megaprojects to Market Leadership: Kazakhstan in the Global Energy Mix.”
The first-day plenary session, titled “Global Integration: Kazakhstan’s Role in New Energy Value Chains,” will focus on the country’s position in the global energy agenda beyond 2030, international technology partnerships and critical minerals.
