Berlin agreements are moving into focus. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz on German Unity Day on October 3, DKNews.kz reports.

In his congratulatory telegrams, Tokayev referred to his recent official visit to Germany and said the agreements reached in Berlin create new opportunities to deepen the Kazakhstan-Germany strategic partnership and advance joint projects in priority areas.

Tokayev Thanks Germany for the Warm Welcome

The President described German Unity Day as a significant occasion embodying Germany’s resilience, constructive strength and steady progress towards prosperity.

Tokayev also expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality extended during his recent official visit to Germany.

He highly appreciated the substantive nature of the talks held during the visit, highlighting the importance of the agreements reached in Berlin for the next stage of bilateral relations.

Berlin Agreements Put Joint Projects in Focus

According to Tokayev, the agreements reached during the Berlin talks open new opportunities for further deepening the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Germany.

A key emphasis is now on implementing joint projects in priority sectors.

The statement signals that Astana views the recent negotiations not merely as another round of political dialogue, but as a basis for expanding practical cooperation between the two countries.

The next stage will therefore depend on how the agreements reached in Berlin translate into concrete bilateral projects.

Kazakhstan and Germany Seek Deeper Strategic Cooperation

Germany remains an important European partner for Kazakhstan, while the recent official visit provided another opportunity for the two countries to discuss the future of their strategic relationship.

The congratulatory messages sent on German Unity Day underline the continuity between the political dialogue in Berlin and the broader bilateral agenda.

For Kazakhstan, the focus is on expanding cooperation in areas where the two countries see opportunities for long-term joint projects and deeper economic and technological ties.

Tokayev Wishes Germany Continued Prosperity

Concluding his messages, Tokayev wished Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Friedrich Merz every success in their responsible state duties.

He also wished the people of Germany well-being and continued prosperity.

The messages came just days after the President’s official visit to Germany, placing the agreements reached in Berlin at the center of the latest Kazakhstan-Germany diplomatic exchange.
