KazNU announces a competition for training within the framework of academic mobility

NON-PROFIT JSC "Al-Farabi Kazakh National University" announces an Applications call to study abroad within the framework of academic mobility (bachelor's degree) for one semester with the obligatory recalculation of the acquired educational curricula in the form of credits in accordance with the order of the Acting Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 22, 2021 No. 358 "On the approval of the plan for the distribution of the number of places for study abroad in the framework of academic mobility."

Submission of documents for participation in the Applications call within the framework of academic mobility at the expense of the republican budget is carried out in accordance with international agreements on cooperation between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and foreign partner universities.

To participate, students (bachelor's degree) must submit the following list of documents:

1. To the university office:

1) a student's application

2) a copy of the passport of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

3) documents on education:

Transcript of current academic performance, certified by the seal of the University;

4) a document confirming the level of proficiency in a foreign language (the applicant provides one of the following documents):

a certificate obtained through international systems for assessing knowledge of a foreign language (IELTS, TOEFL), if any;

a letter of consent of a foreign university to accept a student with an existing level of a foreign language;

test result of a local university (not lower than B2 level);

5) medical certificate (for those traveling abroad) in the form No. 072 / y;

6) written consent of the parents, guardians, legal representatives of the applicant to travel abroad, if he does not reach the age of eighteen at the time of departure from the Republic of Kazakhstan;

7) a document on the composition of the family, to confirm the large family of the student;

8) a document confirming the absence of the student's parents (for the category of students belonging to orphans or students left without parental care (if any);

9) a document confirming the student's disability.

2. To the egov.kz portal:

1) a statement signed by the applicant's EDS;

2) an electronic copy of the passport of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

3) an electronic copy of educational documents:

transcript of current academic performance, certified by the seal of the university;

4) an electronic copy of a document confirming the level of proficiency in a foreign language (the applicant provides one of the following documents):

a certificate obtained through international systems for assessing knowledge of a foreign language, if any;

a letter of consent of a foreign university to accept a student with an existing level of a foreign language;

test result of a Kazakhstani university (not lower than B2 level);

5) an electronic copy of the medical certificate (for those traveling abroad);

6) an electronic copy of the written consent of the parents, guardians, legal representatives of the applicant to travel abroad, if he does not reach the age of eighteen at the time of departure from the Republic of Kazakhstan;

7) an electronic copy of the document on the composition of the family, to confirm the large family of the student;

8) an electronic copy of the document confirming the absence of the student's parents (for the category of students belonging to orphans or students left without parental care (if any);

9) an electronic copy of the document confirming the student's disability.

The selection of applicants is carried out by the Commission for the selection of applicants in accordance with the "Rules for referral for study abroad, including within the framework of academic mobility" approved by order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 19, 2008 No. 613.

The consultations is carried out by the Deputy Deans of each faculty.

Schedule:

1) Documentation support department: from Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 18.00 with a lunch break from 13.00 to 14.30, except weekends and holidays, in accordance with the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Acceptance of documents and issuance of the result of the provision of public services is carried out from 9.00 to 17.30 with a lunch break from 13.00 to 14.30.

Acceptance of documents is carried out on a first come, first served basis, without prior appointment and expedited service.
