The II Republican online conference "Creative heritage and teaching of Abai Kunanbayev", dedicated to the Day of Abai, was held in KazNU named after Al-Farabi. The event, organized by the Research Institute of Abai and the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation, was attended by famous scientists, teachers, doctoral students and undergraduates, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
The meeting was opened by the director of the Abai Research Institute, Doctor of Philology, Professor Zhangara Dadebaev, who spoke about the large-scale work carried out at the Institute. He said that on the basis of scientific schools and works of scientists in the field of Abay studies, a scientific electronic database has been created, and 50 volumes of selected works on Abay studies and 10 volumes of the anthology "Abay studies" have been published in the publishing house "Kazakh University". These works are currently available to readers in the university library, the Abay institute and on the website of the publishing house. He noted that it is also planned to officially open an electronic database of books for a wide range of readers.
In his report, the scientist said that in accordance with the instruction of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev on teaching the heritage of Abai in higher educational institutions, the Academic Council of the University decided to teach the subject "Abai's Teaching" in all specialties. The discipline offered to students for choice will cover all issues related to human life and contain sections such as "The concept of Abai's teachings", "Sources of Abai's teachings", "Components of Abai's teachings", "Abai's teachings categories", "Measuring instruments of Abai's teachings" , "The essence and meaning of Abai's teachings."
Famous Kazakh scientists - D. Iskakuly, A. Espembetov, T. Tegenov, Z. G. Bisengali, A. Tarakov, A. Zhaksylykov, K. Madibay, T. Esembekov, A. Salkynbai, R. Abdikulova, S. Zhusanbaeva, S. Uteniyazov, K. Karabaeva, A. Maulenov, L. Musaly and others made a presentation and analyzed the poet's creative heritage and teachings from the point of view of modern scientific paradigms.
The participants also exchanged views on the creative personality and teachings of Abai, the peculiarities of the poet's heritage, the basic principles of Abai's teachings, his role and significance in modern spirituality. An electronic exhibition and the poet's legacy for youth was presented on the website of the Abai Research Institute.
