By decision of the Board of Directors, Mazhit Sharipov was appointed Chair of the Management Board of NAC Kazatomprom JSC. This was reported by the press service of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
Mazhit Sharipov was born in 1964 in the Akmola region.
He graduated from the Obninsk Institute of Nuclear Power Engineering, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI.
He began his career in 1988 as an engineer of the Operations Service for an experimental reactor facility at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR.
In 1992-1999, he was a specialist of the Department of Nuclear Safety and Physical Protection of the Atomic Energy Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2000-2008, he was Department head; Head of the Department of Inspection and Analysis of the Atomic Energy Committee of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2008-2010, he was Director of the Department of Nuclear Energy and Atomic Industry of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2010-2012, he was Director of the Department of Atomic Energy and Industry of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2012-2013, he was Director of the Department of Atomic Energy and Industry of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Atomic Energy.
In 2013-2014, he was Chair of the Atomic Energy Committee.
In 2015-2020, he worked in executive positions at NAC Kazatomprom JSC.
From January 2021, he was the Chief Director for the nuclear fuel cycle of NAC Kazatomprom JSC.
