FlyArystan, Kazakhstan’s low-fare airline, has been recognized as the best LCC in Kazakhstan and one of the top-five airlines in Central Asia. Skytrax, the world’s leading aviation rating body, recognized FlyArystan’s commitment to great service and low fares. Skytrax is based on customer feedback and represent a global benchmark of excellence, reports Delovoy Kazakhstan.

Skytrax also recognized Air Astana as the best airline in Central Asia in 2021; the 8th year in succession our parent airline has won this award.

Alongside the news of officially being Kazakhstan’s best Low Cost Carrier (LCC) FlyArystan also released its monthly on-time performance (OTP) results. OTP for October was 82% a decrease of 5% from September. From January to October FlyArystan has achieved an average OTP of 85%; this is the Global OTP benchmark for airlines.
“We are open and transparent with our passengers. Our OTP levels can be used by our passengers in travel planning and comparison of who they should choose. With FlyArystan they can be confident they will be on-time while also saving money with our low fares. We believe that releasing our OTP every month builds trust with our passengers and we continue to challenge other airlines to do the same. We do have delays in winter, bad weather conditions have reduced our OTP but we focus on departing flights on time while prioritizing safety”, - said the head of ground service at FlyArystan Daniyar Uskenbayev.
OTP calculations must include all delays and is an indication of how reliable an airline is with delivering on its commitment of when a flight will depart. FlyArystan makes no exceptions for bad weather, de-icing or anything else. A flight delay is delay for more than 15 minutes of the planned departure time.
FlyArystan is Kazakhstan’s first Low-Cost Carrier (LCC) and the first LCC based in Eurasia. FlyArystan operated its first flight in May 2019 and today has 10 Airbus A320 aircraft operating over 60 daily flights across Kazakhstan. FlyArystan’s 10th aircraft was delivered on schedule to the airline in May 2021. FlyArystan is a division of Air Astana.
