Kazakhstan and Switzerland have agreed to mutually recognize assay stamps

Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov and Secretary of State for Economy of the Swiss Confederation Marie-Gabrielle Inaichen - signed an agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Federal Council of the Swiss Federation on the interaction of the assay stamp on jewelry and other products made of precious stones and jewelry and other products containing precious stones, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.

The agreement is necessary for the mutual import of jewelry. The document stipulates that precious metal products imported to one Side with an impression of the assay stamp of the other Party, the manufacturer's stamp and the sample standard established in accordance with the national legislations of the Parties are not subject to new analysis and branding in the importing Party, provided that these jewelry comply with this Agreement and the legislation of the State of the importing Party. During customs control, the importing Party submits jewelry and other precious metal products to its authorized organizations, which can check the impression of the assay stamp of the other Party and the legally established standards of the sample in accordance with the national legislation of the State of the importing Party.

The agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Federal Council of the Swiss Confederation on mutual recognition of the assay stamp on precious metal products was signed during the official visit of the President of Kazakhstan to the Swiss Confederation.
