The Embassy of Kazakhstan to Brazil hosted a reception on the occasion of Nauryz, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
The event was attended by the representatives of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, heads of Brazilian state agencies, leading Brazilian companies, heads of diplomatic missions of the countries also celebrating Nauryz, experts, local journalists and representatives of TV channels.
Opening the event, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Federative Republic of Brazil Bolat Nussupov noted that Nauryz is a very ancient and esteemed holiday in the East, which personifies the beginning of New Year, updating of the nature and beginning of a new life. The Kazakh diplomat also stressed that traditionally this bright holiday signifies peace, well-being and prosperity. On this day people wish each other all the best and forgive all previous wrongs and reconcile. Emphasizing the unity and solidarity of the people of Kazakhstan, Bolat Nussupov wished all participants wellbeing, peace and prosperity.
This event became a good platform to discuss the development of the Kazakh language, promotion of the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan, strengthening, development and expansion of cultural and humanitarian relations of our country with the South American region.
A photo exhibition of Kazakh nature and cultural identity was presented to the audience. Guests learned about traditions and customs associated with the celebration of Nauryz.
