A delegation of representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus visited the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. During the visit, the guests of honor presented a plan of construction in the territory of Kazakh National University. Also, the delegation met with the faculty and got acquainted with innovative projects of scientists of the university, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, noted that today in Kazakhstan special importance is given to the development of science. "The state supports scientists and their promising scientific research. Therefore, we have to solve the problem of increasing the effectiveness of scientific projects. It is necessary to develop not only existing scientific schools but also to form new areas of research. We have begun work on radically upgrading educational programs. The most important priority of the university is the development of science. Today our university makes an important step towards strengthening the educational and scientific potential of our country," the Head of the University said.
During the meeting, Deputy Chairmen of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Piotr Vityaz and Alexander Kilchevsky, a member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Agabekov highly appreciated the activity of the university and scientific projects.
"We have been actively cooperating with Kazakhstan for many years. We have common projects and research. I really liked the developments of your scientists. Such meetings and exchange of experience are very important for researchers. We can learn a lot from each other, and reach new heights together. We are looking forward to fruitful cooperation," said Alexander Kilchevsky.
In turn, Vladimir Agabekov also shared his opinion on the work of the university: "I was here for the last time in 2004. And today I'm convinced that there are significant changes in KazNU. We got acquainted with the work of your university, with scientific projects of scientists. We liked it very much. Now the development of science is the main objective facing the countries of the world. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University makes a significant contribution to the development of education and science in your country".
During the meeting, the head of the university Zhanseit Tuimebayev emphasized that cooperation with Belarusian research institutes will provide great opportunities for joint development of new innovative technologies.
