The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Netherlands met with compatriots who study at the universities of the Kingdom. In an informal setting over a cup of tea, students, who came from different cities of the country, discussed several exciting topics with Askar Zhumagaliyev and asked him their questions, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.

Some were concerned about socio-economic issues: the resumption of direct flights from Amsterdam to Nur-Sultan/Almaty; obtaining visas for relatives; requirements for entry into Kazakhstan, investment attractiveness of the Republic for the Netherlands. Others were interested in the topic of the upcoming referendum. Askar Zhumagaliyev informed those who came to the meeting that a polling station would be organized at the embassy on June 5.

«You, as young people, the future of our state, have the opportunity to come, vote and make your contribution. The polling station will be open from 7 am to 8 pm», said the Ambassador. The diplomat also reminded the students of the need to have identification documents with them.

Among those who came to the meeting were those guys who actively participated in the spring holiday of Nauryz.

«From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank our volunteers activists who helped us. Thanks to your help, the Dutch learned about our national games and their rules» said mr Zhumagaliyev, handing letters of appreciation to those who distinguished themselves.

At the end of the meeting, the students asked the Ambassador to give advice and recommend promising areas for doing business together with the Dutch in the future: choosing a sector of the economy, subtleties, and complexities. Askar Zhumagaliyev shared his thoughts on this matter and talked about several promising vectors.

In gratitude for the warm welcome, the students presented him with a gift - the famous porcelain (plate) from Delft with an inscription in the Kazakh language «Жылы ықыласпен ұзақ мерзімге естелік» (Warm memories for a long time). This porcelain (ware, with a refined blue painting on a white background, Delfts blauw) is a national treasure of the Netherlands. In addition, along with other souvenirs, tourists often take it away as a souvenir of a trip to the Kingdom.
