Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Netherlands Askar Zhumagaliyev informed the members of the Royal Industrial Club with the peculiarities of the Republic, key changes, potentially interesting sectors for investment, as well as the state's plans for further development, деп хабарлайды Деловой Қазақстан.

The Ambassador stressed that Kazakhstan pays special attention to creating a strong and competitive environment for doing business.

As a confirmation of his words, he cited the example of the global competitiveness rating, in which Kazakhstan took the 35th position.

«According to the latest World Bank report, Kazakhstan ranks 25th out of 190 countries in doing business», said A. Zhumagaliyev.

Moody's rating of Kazakhstan has been upgraded to “Baa2” with a stable outlook. Fitch and Standard & Poor's also confirmed Kazakhstan's credit ratings and forecasts before the pandemic, noting the country's financial stability.

The Ambassador attracted the attention of potential investors by talking about tax preferences.

«In addition to financial and, in general, economic stability, which I mentioned earlier, the country offers comprehensive state support in various sectors. We provide support to investment projects, which includes tax benefits such as exemption from Corporate Income Tax, Land Tax, Property Tax, and non-fiscal incentives such as land and infrastructure», he said.

The head of diplomatic mission also spoke about 13 Special Economic Zones and 36 industrial zones located throughout Kazakhstan, which provide infrastructure and a wide range of investment preferences.

Kazakhstan, as Zhumagaliyev noted, has direct access to the market of more than a billion consumers, including the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, China, and the Caspian Basin. In addition, the country has a well-developed transport infrastructure.

«I think these reasons are the answers to why Kazakhstan is attractive to investors. I believe that is why the Netherlands is the number one foreign investor in Kazakhstan: the Kingdom has invested more than $105 billion in the Republic», he concluded.

At the end of the lecture, the participants were able to ask their questions. In addition to preferences, the members of the Royal Club were concerned about personnel issues, the level of English proficiency, the climatic features of Kazakhstan and the reforms being carried out in the country.

Askar Zhumagaliyev informed the lecture participants about the referendum, the results of its holding and the changes that the amendments to the Constitution will entail.

The Ambassador answered everything in detail and broke the applause of the audience.
