An expanded meeting of the Senate Committee on Economic Policy, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship was held, where deputies discussed the draft law "On introducing amendments and addenda to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on electric power, energy saving and energy efficiency, subsoil use, local state administration and state border", Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
The purpose of the document is to improve legislation on energy efficiency and the implementation of investment projects to build gas facilities at power plants.
In addition, the bill aims to improve regulation of social relations in the development of the city of Almaty, as well as addressing issues of construction of border offices and checkpoints across the state border.
As a result of discussion members of the Committee decided to send the bill to the House for consideration on the 2nd reading.
