Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Vienna, H.E. Mr. Alibek Bakayev, briefs leading Austrian media

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Austria, Alibek Bakaev, held a briefing for representatives of leading Austrian media on the results of early presidential elections in Kazakhstan and ongoing political reforms in the country, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.

The head of the foreign desk of the APA news agency, editors of the ORF TV and Radio Company, the daily newspaper Kurier, and others took part in the meeting with the Kazakh diplomat.

During the meeting, Mr. Bakayev briefed the journalists in detail on the results of early presidential elections and steps towards further democratization of the country, arising from the concept of “Just and Fair Kazakhstan”.

In addition, press representatives were informed that polling stations were organized in the foreign missions of Kazakhstan, including the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Vienna. On the day of the elections, there was active participation in the voting of Kazakhstan citizens who live in Austria, especially young people. Most of them expressed their support for the incumbent Head of State, which reflects the results of the elections in the country itself.

During the briefing, the Ambassador spoke about the state and prospects of Kazakh-Austrian relations in various areas of cooperation.

Mr. Bakaev answered all questions of interest to journalists on the current situation in Kazakhstan and the world.

In this context, journalist Ms. Schreiberhuber shared her impressions of a recent trip to the capital of Kazakhstan for the elections.
