In the Presidential Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a themed display honoring Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan opened, DKNews.kz reports.
In honor of Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan, a temporary exhibition titled "Kazakhstan: the Harmony of the People" has been held in the Presidential Center of the DPA of the Republic of Kazakhstan since April 24, 2024. On October 18, 1995, by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, May 1 was declared Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan. This day is celebrated as a national holiday promoting peace and unity, friendship, and harmony among all ethnic groups throughout the nation.
Kazakhstan, which had become a common home for many nationalities, was moving towards peace and harmony, setting an example for the world. The vast Kazakh steppe is now home to representatives of more than 130 nationalities.
Via museum displays drawn from the Presidential Center's holdings, the exhibition aims to highlight Kazakhstan's paradigm of interethnic harmony and intercultural dialogue.
The exhibition features unique items that provide light on the historical relationships, collaboration, and cultural formation among the various ethnic groups in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Tajik wall carpet - suzane, Turkmen national papakha or Russian folk towel embroidered with flowers. Through such exhibits, visitors can get to know the history of national clothes, dishes, and carpets of Turkmen, Uzbek, Azerbaijani, Belarusian, Russian, Korean and other peoples.
Over two hundred museum pieces from the Presidential Center's collections - including clothes, carpets and felt goods, textile products, souvenirs, dishes, works of fine art and objects of material culture - are on display in this show.
The contribution of each ethnic group to the development of our country is a contribution to the development of their native land.
The exhibition will last until May 10, 2024.
