On May 26, 2023, the Embassy hosted a meeting with the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport of Latvia, head of the Kazakh-Latvian Working Group on Transport Uldis Reimanis, DKNews.kz reports.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the transit and transport sector, the results of the visit of the Minister of Transport of Latvia J. Vitenbergs to Kazakhstan, as well as organizational and substantive aspects of the participation of the Latvian delegation on June 8-9 in the Astana International Forum.
Special attention was paid to the preparation of events within the framework of the visit to Latvia in June of a regional business mission from representatives of the transport industry and business circles of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Central Asian countries under the auspices of the USAID Central Asia Trade Program, as well as holding a regular meeting of the Kazakh-Latvian Working Group on Transport.
