A meeting took place at JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" with the General Director of "WIS Kunststoffe GmbH," Sigmar Römhild, and the Authorized Representative of the Federal State of Thuringia for Economic Affairs in Central Asian countries, Guzel Shaikhullina. The meeting discussed the possibilities of implementing a project to construct a plant for the production of compounds in Kazakhstan, DKNews.kz reports.
Siegmar Römhild noted that Kazakhstan could become the first country outside of Germany where the company's production facilities will be localized. He emphasized that "WIS Kunststoffe GmbH" sees significant potential for launching production in the country, given its strategic location and favorable investment conditions. The manufactured products are used in various industries such as engineering, chemical industry, healthcare, and others. The company expressed readiness to provide training for local specialists.
In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the national company, Zhandos Temirgali, discussed state support measures, emphasizing that Kazakhstan is interested in projects with a high level of value-added, and the German company could occupy a promising niche, considering the rapidly developing new economic clusters in the country. He invited the company to establish export-oriented production, taking into account the proximity to major markets in Asia and Europe.
The Authorized Representative of the Federal State of Thuringia for Economic Affairs in Central Asian countries, Guzel Shaikhullina, underscored that Kazakhstan is an optimal location for increasing business activity of German companies and localizing production. According to her, the positive forecasts of the World Bank regarding Kazakhstan's economic potential inspire confidence in German investors and enhance interest in implementing investment projects in the country.
During the visit, the delegation plans to visit regions of Kazakhstan to select the optimal location for project implementation.
"WIS Kunststoffe GmbH" is engaged in the production of plastics, secondary polymer raw materials, and compounds. The company also sells polyolefins, blends of styropolymer, technical and structural plastics, granules, and powders. In 1995, the company put into operation its first plastic production plant, and in 2021-2022, its second plant, technical center, and testing laboratory. Currently, the company has approximately 10 regional offices across Germany and Eastern Europe with warehouse complexes.
