Ambassador of Kazakhstan Viktor Temirbayev held a bilateral meeting with the Members of the European Parliament from Bulgaria Andrey Novakov, DKNews.kz reports.
During the meeting the Kazakh diplomat acquainted the MEP with the latest transformations in the country’s political system and the results of the electoral period last year. In addition, Ambassador Viktor Temirbayev informed about the current state and prospects for the development of Kazakh-Bulgarian and Kazakh-European relations as well as plans for their further deepening.
In turn, the MEP welcomed the ongoing reforms, noting that it reflects the real desire of Kazakhstan to move along the democratic path of development.
Additionally, special attention was given to the content of the January interview with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, focusing on issues of domestic and foreign policy, socio-economic development of Kazakhstan, construction of nuclear power plant, and other relevant topics.
In conclusion, the parties agreed to maintain working contacts on all issues identified during the meeting.
