On March 8 and 9, Almaty Theatre presents a festive evening dedicated to International Women's Day. The audience will be presented with a rich program, which will include both masterpieces of the classical heritage and modern choreographic performances performed by soloists of the Astana Ballet Theatre, as well as a live vocal performance by the famous group Mezzo, DKNews.kz reports.
Fans of choreographic art will be able to enjoy vibrant performances: adagio from the ballet “Romeo and Juliet” by Sergei Prokofiev; adagio from the ballet “Spartacus” by Aram Khachaturian; “Spring Waters” by Sergei Rachmaninov; a fragment from the passionate ballet “Fuego Lento” to the music of L. Shifrin, A. Piazzolla, C. Gardel and S. Kosugi. The ballet “LOVE FEAR LOSS” by Ricardo Amarante to the music of Edith Piaf, Charles Dumont and Jacques Brel will also be presented, with musical accompaniment of solo piano performed by Kuralai Kanapina.
Both evenings on stage the artists of the Astana Ballet Theatre will perform solo: Tatyana Ten, Nazerke Aimukhametova, Ainur Abilgazina, Natalia Menes, Farkhad Buriyev, Sundet Sultanov, Weslley Carvalho, Erkanat Ermagambet, Milana Bukanova and Madiy Yelyubaev, who will amaze you with their unsurpassed skill, expressiveness and grace.
In addition, the Almaty audience will be treated to a performance by the group Mezzo, the first vocal group in Kazakhstan working in the direction of classical crossover - a musical style that is a synthesis of elements of classical and popular music. The soloists of the Mezzo group sing songs in different languages of the world, including covers of songs from the repertoires of performers Andrea Bocelli, IlDivo, Josh Groban, Alessandro Safina, Elton John, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, breathing into each song their own style, as well as their own repertoire.
The evening program will feature everyone’s favorites - “Unchained melody”, “Beloved Woman”, “Only you”, “Il Mondo”, “Neopolitan medley”, “Quisas”, “Granada” and other popular works.
