The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Brazil was visited by an economic delegation from the Brazilian state of Para, headed by Darcy Lerman, Mayor of the Paraúpeba region, DKNews.kz reports.
During the meeting the issues of establishing trade, economic and investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Brazilian state were discussed. The main attention was paid to the possibilities of cooperation in the mining industry, agriculture and food production.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Brazil familiarized the guest with the main aspects of political and socio-economic reforms in Kazakhstan in the context of the message of the Head of State to the people of Kazakhstan "Economic Course of a Just Kazakhstan", and also told about the features of investment policy of Kazakhstan in terms of supporting foreign investors.
For his part, Darcy Lermanom, noting the presence of great potential of Kazakh-Brazilian trade and economic cooperation, presented priority business projects of the state, opportunities for bilateral cooperation and expressed readiness to provide all possible support in the development of cooperation with Kazakhstan.
During the meeting it was announced a proposal to the business community of the region to participate in the third meeting of the Business Council "Kazakhstan - Brazil" in May this year, as well as in the Astana International Forum in June this year.
