Kazakhstan and Pakistan strengthen cooperation in the field of education

Ambassador of Republic of Kazakhstan to Pakistan Yerzhan Kistafin met with Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, DKNews.kz reports.

As part of the work carried out to strengthen and diversify cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin especially highlighted the field of education.

The Ambassador spoke about the measures taken to establish interaction between higher educational institutions of the two countries, stating the advisability of involving authorized institutions of Kazakhstan and Pakistan in this work.

The Chairman of the HEC informed about the policy of the Government of Pakistan in the field of higher education, aimed at improving the quality and establishing interaction with foreign partners.

According to Mukhtar Ahmed, cooperation between universities can also facilitate joint research projects, bringing a qualitatively new level of partnership in the field of science.

During the meeting Ambassador invited the Chairman of the Commission together with the heads of Pakistani universities to visit Kazakhstan to hold talks with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, educational institutions to form a favourable institutional environment and identify promising areas of cooperation.

As a result of the event, an agreement was reached to organize in the near future negotiations between the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan.
