Ambassador of Kazakhstan Adil Tursunov held a meeting with Ine Eriksen Søreide, a member of the Storting (Parliament) and Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence.
Ambassador briefed the Norwegian parliamentarian on perspectives of Kazakh-Norwegian bilateral cooperation, as well as implementation of political and economic reforms initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, including strengthening the role of Parliament in national politics.
Parties stated the importance of reinforcing inter-parliamentary diplomacy between Astana and Oslo on bilateral level and in the framework of multilateral organizations.
Adil Tursunov invited Ine Eriksen Søreide to visit Kazakhstan in order to give a new impetus to development of interaction between the Parliament of Kazakhstan and the Storting of Norway.
