Negotiations in the US capital: discussion of legal reforms in Kazakhstan

On June 25, 2024, in Washington, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Azamat Eskaraev, met with Bruce Schwartz, Deputy Assistant Attorney General and Counselor for International Affairs of the U.S. Department of Justice, DKnews.kz reports.

During the meeting, representatives of the U.S. Department of Justice provided detailed information about the specifics of their department's work, sharing valuable experiences and achievements in the legal field. In response, the Kazakh side presented the latest measures taken to strengthen the rule of law in the country, highlighting significant progress in this area.

One of the key aspects of the discussion was identifying priority areas for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries. The parties agreed on the necessity of further strengthening existing relations and planned future meetings. These meetings will focus on exchanging experiences and discussing new opportunities for cooperation in the legal field.

The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Azamat Eskaraev, emphasized the importance of international cooperation in the legal field and expressed confidence that interaction with the U.S. Department of Justice would contribute to the development of Kazakhstan's legal system and the strengthening of the rule of law in the country.

The meeting in Washington marked an important step in developing partnership relations in the legal field between Kazakhstan and the U.S., with both sides expressing hope for continued fruitful cooperation in the future.
