On September 17, 2024, Astana will host a roundtable featuring leading experts in the fields of technology and education as part of the largest international student programming competition, ICPC. The event will serve as a key discussion platform for addressing issues related to the development of programming, supporting talented students, and implementing innovations in the educational process.
The roundtable will bring together leading specialists and executives, including Mr. Tian Xinpu, Vice President of Huawei's Human Resource Management Department; Mr. Ayman, Vice President of the Institute for Strategic Studies and Director of Huawei’s Competition Management Department; Mr. Xu Hai, Chairman of Huawei Technologies Kazakhstan; and Maratbek Gabdullin, Rector and Chairman of the Board of the Kazakh-British Technical University.
The roundtable will be part of the 48th edition of the international ICPC competition, which will take place from September 15 to 20, 2024, in Astana. The competition is organized by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstan Federation of Sports Programming, the ICPC Foundation, and Freedom Holding Corp, with the support of Huawei, a leading global provider of digital infrastructure.
The international ICPC competition is one of the most prestigious university programming contests, attracting thousands of students from around the world every year. This year, over 400 participants selected from more than 140 leading universities, which passed the qualification stages in over 50 countries, will take part in the competition. ICPC provides a unique platform for university students passionate about programming, allowing them to showcase their skills in solving complex problems, thereby fostering innovation and identifying talents in the field of exact sciences.
