Dutch Companies are Interested in Realization of Investment Projects in Kazakhstan, DKnews.kz reports
Following the presentation of copies of the credentials at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Kairat Abdrakhmanov held his first meeting with Henk Nieboer, Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in the Netherlands.
The meeting covered several key aspects of bilateral relations, including the upcoming visit of Dutch transport and logistics companies to Kazakhstan, scheduled for October 6-10, 2024. This visit is expected to attract investment in key projects within the transport sector.
The Honorary Consul noted the historical significance of the decision taken by the leadership of the Republic of Kazakhstan to organize a referendum for the free expression of the will of the people on such an important aspect for the further development of Kazakhstan as the construction of a nuclear power plant. He noted that the use of nuclear energy has particular importance considering the climate change and the need for further implementation of advanced technologies to obtain “clean” energy.
Ambassador Abdrakhmanov expressed his gratitude to Nieboer for his dedicated efforts in fostering bilateral cooperation, particularly noting his contributions to the organization of meetings within the framework of the Netherlands-Kazakhstan Business Association. The Ambassador also acknowledged Nieboer’s role in facilitating the deployment of water management experts from the Netherlands during recent floods in Kazakhstan.
Furthermore, the conversation highlighted the importance of attracting Dutch investment in various sectors, including transport and logistics, mining and processing of rare and rare earth metals, agriculture, healthcare, and other strategic industries.
