Mozambique Seeks to Enhance Cooperation with Kazakhstan, DKnews.kz reports

Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Mozambique Yerkin Akhinzhanov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mozambique Verónica Nathaniel Makamo Dlhovo.

The meeting focused on the prospects for strengthening bilateral relations and identifying new areas for cooperation. Both nations share similar approaches to addressing international issues, providing a strong foundation for further collaboration.

A key topic of discussion was the enhancement of trade and economic ties. Both sides emphasized the importance of expanding partnerships in vital sectors. In this context, the establishment of the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan in Mozambique was recognized as a significant advancement in strengthening bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Akhinzhanov briefed the Foreign Minister of Mozambique on recent developments in Kazakhstan, highlighting the activities of the Astana International Financial Center and the country’s progress in green energy initiatives. The two parties also explored opportunities for cooperation in education, expressing a shared interest in establishing direct connections between universities in both countries to foster scientific and educational exchange.

Minister Verónica Dlhovo reaffirmed Mozambique’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Kazakhstan in mutually beneficial areas.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed their determination to strengthen the partnership between Kazakhstan and Mozambique, paving the way for new joint projects and initiatives.
