Global smart device brand HONOR has officially introduced its next-generation foldable smartphone — the HONOR Magic V5 — in China. It’s the world’s thinnest and lightest inward-folding smartphone, combining cutting-edge engineering with breakthrough innovation. The device features the world’s first mass-produced silicon-carbon battery with a 6100 mAh capacity and 25% silicon content. The HONOR Magic V5 sets a new standard for portability, measuring just 8.8 mm thick and weighing 217 grams. This slim profile is made possible by HONOR’s advanced AI-driven manufacturing system, which ensures exceptional durability and a nearly invisible crease for a seamless user experience.
The smartphone is IP58 and IP59 certified for water and dust resistance. The inner display is reinforced with carbon fiber, while the outer screen features NanoCrystal Glass for enhanced scratch resistance. Inside the chassis, a carbon fiber layer with a deformation resistance of 380 GPa acts as a shock-absorbing buffer. The HONOR Super Steel Hinge, capable of withstanding up to 2300 MPa of tensile strength, ensures reliable and smooth folding.
The 7.95-inch internal display is ideal for multitasking, while the 6.43-inch external screen provides quick access to key functions on the go.
A Breakthrough in Battery Technology
The HONOR Magic V5 introduces the industry’s first 6100 mAh silicon-carbon battery, available exclusively in the 1TB version. It’s the first commercial battery with 25% silicon content, delivering an industry-leading energy density of 901 Wh/L. Powered by the HONOR E2 chip and an integrated SoC voltage regulator, the device ensures efficient performance, safety, and excellent thermal management. It supports 66W wired and 50W wireless HONOR SuperCharge for superior battery life.

Equipped with the HONOR AI Falcon camera system, the Magic V5 offers professional-grade photography. The rear camera setup includes a 64MP periscope telephoto lens, a 50MP wide-angle camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens.
