The Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Croatia, Daulet Batrashev, participated in the work of the Mediterranean Business Forum (MBF.HR) in Rovinj, which is one of the most significant regional economic and communication platforms, where business leaders, entrepreneurs, representatives of government bodies, and the expert community from South-East European countries and the European Union discuss investment opportunities, innovations, artificial intelligence, information and communication technologies, regional connectivity and sustainable growth, trade, and economic opportunities.
During meetings with representatives of a number of companies, the Kazakh diplomat emphasized Kazakhstan's strategic advantages as a leading economic center in Central Asia and a reliable partner, highlighting the country's geographical position as a transit and logistics bridge between Europe and Asia through initiatives such as the Middle Corridor; large-scale reforms to improve the business environment and attract foreign investment; as well as the development of high-tech industries and digital transformation.
The ambassador noted that the development of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in Kazakhstan, and the establishment of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, opens new opportunities for international cooperation, the implementation of advanced solutions, and the training of highly qualified specialists. Kazakhstan aims to integrate AI into industry, agriculture, transport, and public services.
Daulet Batrashev also informed the interlocutors about the smart-city Alatau construction project, which will become a central hub for IT companies, research institutes, and international corporations, and invited Croatian and European partners to explore opportunities for participation in this project.
Alongside the participation in the forum, the Ambassador held meetings with the Mayor of Rovinj, Mr. Emil Nimcevic, and the Mayor of Pula, Mr. Peda Grbin. During the negotiations, prospects for cooperation between regions of Kazakhstan and Croatia in such areas as tourism and cultural exchange, education, urban management and sustainable development, and the intensification of economic ties were discussed. The meetings took place in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, with both sides reaffirming their interest in further developing the partnership.
