Visa, a global leader in digital payments, in partnership with Reinvantage, has launched the first-ever She’s Next Hackathon for women across Eastern and Southeastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus — including Kazakhstan, DKnews.kz reports.

This online event is part of Visa’s global initiative She’s Next, Empowered by Visa, which supports women entrepreneurs at all stages of their journey. Participants will gain access to expert training, hands-on mentorship from nearly 20 industry professionals, increased visibility for their business ideas, and the opportunity to win part of a $20,000 prize pool.

Not a coding challenge – a business innovation sprint

Unlike traditional hackathons, She’s Next is focused not on programming but on business development, creative strategy, and inclusive innovation. Participants will work on real-world challenges related to financial resilience, market expansion, forecasting trends, and transforming their businesses for the future.

This is a space for bold ideas, practical solutions, and leadership with purpose.

Visa’s commitment to inclusive growth

Kristina Dorosh, Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Visa in Eastern and Southeastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus, emphasized:

"As a long-standing supporter of women’s leadership and entrepreneurship, Visa believes in the incredible potential of women to drive inclusive economic growth."

"The She’s Next initiative has grown successfully in our region for over five years, and the launch of the She’s Next Hackathon marks an important new milestone in our mission to empower women. We are proud to implement this project with Reinvantage — a partnership that began with our regional research on women’s entrepreneurship in 2022 and led to the launch of the She’s Next digital community platform a year later."

"The She’s Next Hackathon is not just a competition. It’s a launchpad for bold ideas and confident leadership. I’m excited to see how this program helps new talent shine.”

Empowering the next generation of women-led innovation

Andrew Wrobel, Director of Transformations at Reinvantage, added:

“Reinvention is not just a reaction to change and uncertainty. It’s a mindset that empowers businesses to create solutions the future already demands.”

“The She’s Next Hackathon is designed to develop that mindset in the next generation of women entrepreneurs. We aim to equip them with practical tools and the confidence to lead with purpose, adaptability, and vision."

"This is more than just entrepreneurship — it’s a contribution to building a more inclusive and resilient business landscape for tomorrow.”
