Within Astana Finance Days, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market and the Financial Services Authority of the Sultanate of Oman (FSA), DKNews.kz reports.
FSA regulates and supervises capital markets, insurance sector as well as accounting and auditing activities.
The signing ceremony took place with participation of the chiefs of financial regulators of the two countries – Agency’s Chairperson Madina Abylkassymova and FSA Executive President Mr. Abdulla Salim Al-Salmi.
The document is a result of efforts to deepen cooperation between Kazakhstan and Oman. The memorandum provides for interaction in financial technologies, innovative projects, financial education and improvement of financial inclusion, as well as development of joint initiatives to boost financial market infrastructure with the use modern technologies.
Particular attention is given to support and development of Tabadul platform, which helps strengthen the ties between regional exchanges and streamline cross-border trade.
