A commemorative ceremony honoring the heroism of Aliya Moldagulova was held in Saint Petersburg. On the 82nd anniversary of her heroic death, flowers were laid at the monument to the legendary sniper and Hero of the Soviet Union, who was killed in action on January 14, 1944, DKNews.kz reports.
The ceremony was attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation Dauren Abayev and Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Saint Petersburg Dmitry Mikhno. The event became a symbol of respect for historical memory and tribute to one of the most iconic female figures of the Second World War.

Representatives of the Saint Petersburg Committee for External Relations, the administration of the Krasnogvardeysky District, Kazakh cadets studying at military academies, members of the Kazakh diaspora, and students of Saint Petersburg School No. 140 also took part in the ceremony.
