Kazakhstan has once again signaled its readiness to deepen economic cooperation between Central Asia and the United States. Minister of Industry and Construction Yersayin Nagaspaev led the Kazakh delegation at the second B5+1 Business Forum, held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The forum focused on strengthening economic ties between Central Asian countries and the United States, DKNews.kz reports.
Kazakhstan Open to Partnership and Investment
Speaking at the forum, Yersayin Nagaspaev emphasized Kazakhstan’s commitment to open and constructive cooperation with the business community and other stakeholders. He highlighted the country’s focus on improving the investment climate, strengthening institutional mechanisms, and achieving sustainable, mutually beneficial results.

According to the minister, Kazakhstan aims to position itself as a reliable and predictable partner, offering clear rules and long-term opportunities for investors and industrial partners.
Dialogue with the United States: From Strategy to Practice
On the sidelines of the forum, Nagaspaev met with Sergio Gor, the U.S. President’s Special Representative for South and Central Asia. The talks focused on prospects for bilateral and regional cooperation, particularly in industry and investment.
During the meeting, the minister noted Sergio Gor’s contribution to advancing Kazakhstan–U.S. relations following his participation in the 10th anniversary C5+1 Leaders’ Summit, held in Washington in November 2025. The C5+1 format, participants said, is increasingly moving beyond political dialogue toward practical economic engagement.

Invitation to Astana and a Regional Initiative
As part of the discussions, Yersayin Nagaspaev invited Sergio Gor to attend the First Central Asian Geological Forum, scheduled to take place in Astana on April 2–3, 2026. The event is expected to become a key regional platform for discussing geological exploration, mineral resources, and investment opportunities across Central Asia.
Forum Outcomes
Following the conclusion of the B5+1 forum, Nagaspaev joined the heads of Central Asian and U.S. delegations at a press conference to summarize the key outcomes. Participants highlighted growing business interest in the region and the importance of translating dialogue into concrete joint projects.
The Bishkek forum underscored Kazakhstan’s active role in shaping the region’s economic agenda and its ambition to serve as a bridge between Central Asia and global partners, including the United States.
