Kazakhstan and Greece have confirmed their interest in strengthening bilateral ties, as prospects for further cooperation were discussed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, DKNews.kz reports.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arman Issetov received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic Antonia Katsourou, marking the formal start of her diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan.
Mediterranean partnership in focus
During the meeting, Arman Issetov emphasized that Greece remains one of Kazakhstan’s important partners in the Mediterranean region. He expressed confidence that cooperation between Astana and Athens will continue to develop on a solid and mutually beneficial basis.
The Kazakh side noted that political dialogue between the two countries provides a strong foundation for expanding practical cooperation in a number of priority areas.
From politics to tourism
The talks covered a broad agenda, including interaction in the political, trade, economic, and investment spheres. Particular attention was paid to tourism, which both sides see as a promising area for closer cooperation.
Tourism was highlighted as a sector with strong potential for growth, capable of fostering people-to-people ties and contributing to deeper mutual understanding between the two countries.

Commitment to continued dialogue
Following the discussions, the diplomats reaffirmed their readiness to continue a constructive and substantive dialogue across the full range of bilateral cooperation issues.
