Almaty will host the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) Annual Meeting and Business Forum, “Eurasia 2030+: Investment, Growth and New Opportunities,” on June 25–26, DKNews.kz reports.
The event, dedicated to the EDB’s 20th anniversary, will bring together government officials, business leaders, financial institutions and international experts to discuss key development priorities across the Eurasian region.
Focus on investment and regional development
The forum will serve as a platform for discussions on economic growth, investment opportunities and regional cooperation.
Participants are expected to explore a wide range of topics, including:
- investment in sustainable development
- digital technologies and innovation
- the future of Islamic finance in Central Asia
- transport infrastructure development
- the potential of the Eurasian Transport Framework
The event aims to identify new opportunities for economic integration and long-term growth across Eurasia.
International experts and business leaders to attend
Among the featured speakers are heads of leading Islamic finance institutions from Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Bahrain and the UAE.
The forum will also feature world-renowned AI futurist Tariq Qureishy, who is expected to share insights on emerging technological trends and the future impact of artificial intelligence on economies and industries.
Government representatives from Central Asian countries, executives of major companies, multilateral development banks and members of the expert community will also take part.

EDB marks 20 years of operations
The Eurasian Development Bank is a multilateral development institution operating across the Eurasian region.
According to the bank, by the end of 2025 its cumulative portfolio included 326 projects with total investments of USD 19.6 billion.
Under its 2022–2026 strategy, the EDB is implementing three flagship megaprojects:
- The Central Asian Water and Energy Complex
- The Eurasian Transport Framework
- The Eurasian Commodity Distribution Network
These initiatives are aimed at strengthening regional connectivity, improving resource management and supporting sustainable economic development.
Why this matters
The forum comes at a time when countries across Eurasia are seeking new sources of growth, stronger transport connectivity and greater investment in innovation and infrastructure.
