FlyArystan has operated its first flight of the 2026 summer season on the Almaty – Issyk-Kul (Tamchy) – Almaty route, reopening one of the most popular holiday connections in Central Asia, DKNews.kz reports.
The low-cost carrier is launching its seasonal flight program to the Kyrgyz resort destination for the second year in a row, offering travelers a faster and more convenient way to reach the shores of Issyk-Kul.
Flights to Operate Twice a Week

According to the airline, one-way ticket prices start from 34,000 tenge.
The service significantly reduces travel time compared to overland transport, making it an attractive option for summer travelers.
New Route from Astana Launches in July
In response to strong demand from Kazakh tourists, FlyArystan is expanding its Issyk-Kul program by introducing direct flights from Astana.
The new Astana – Issyk-Kul (Tamchy) – Astana route will begin operating on July 3.
Flights will be available:
- Every Monday
- Every Friday
The seasonal service will continue until August 31, 2026.
The launch marks a further expansion of FlyArystan’s regional leisure network during the peak summer season.
Issyk-Kul Remains a Favorite Destination
Located in northeastern Kyrgyzstan, Issyk-Kul continues to be one of the most popular international summer destinations for travelers from Kazakhstan.
The lake attracts visitors thanks to:
- Its close proximity to Kazakhstan
- Scenic mountain landscapes
- Warm summer climate
- Developed tourism infrastructure
- Family-friendly resorts and recreation areas
The destination has long been a preferred choice for holidaymakers seeking a beach vacation without long-haul travel.
Tickets Already Available
Passengers can purchase tickets through several channels, including:
- The FlyArystan mobile application
- The airline’s official website
- Authorized sales partners
The airline expects strong demand throughout the summer season as more travelers choose air travel for quick access to the popular resort area.
Why This Matters
The return of the Almaty–Issyk-Kul route and the launch of new flights from Astana reflect growing demand for regional tourism and short-haul leisure travel.
For many Kazakh travelers, Issyk-Kul offers an affordable and convenient international holiday destination. Expanding flight options not only improves accessibility but also strengthens tourism links between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan during the busy summer season.
