Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Netherlands Askar Zhumagaliyev launched a series of webinars from Dutch companies in the field of greenhouses for Kazakh companies, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.

In his welcoming speech, the Ambassador praised the leading Dutch technologies in the field of greenhouses, the use of digital solutions by companies to optimize risks in agriculture, as well as the outstanding performance of Dutch companies in this industry.

“As a result of the applied technologies and digital solutions, the Netherlands has managed to achieve consistently high yields and product quality, which has allowed it to become the 2nd largest exporter of food products in the world ... In these webinars, leading Dutch companies will share knowledge and experience in applying these innovations. I hope that the information received will serve as an incentive for Kazakh businesses to learn from the experience of the Netherlands.” - said the Ambassador of Kazakhstan.

The first webinar was held on the topic "Modern Greenhouse Technologies: Challenges and Opportunities". The webinar was moderated by the CEO of Dutch Greenhouse Delta, Eric Egberts, and the President of the Union of Greenhouses of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Adilkhan. The speakers were specialists from the leading Dutch companies KUBO, Van Der Hoeven, Certhon, who spoke about the latest technologies in the greenhouse sector, different types of greenhouses, how to start a greenhouse project, what details need to be paid special attention to during implementing a project, etc.

Also, during the webinar, Damir Ayupov, an EBRD project specialist in Kazakhstan, spoke about the Bank's support tools including grants for agricultural projects. At the end of the webinar, representatives of Dutch companies answered a variety of practical questions from the participants. In general, about 150 participants from different regions of Kazakhstan joined the webinar.

In addition, it was noted about the organization of the forthcoming visit of the leading Dutch companies to Kazakhstan in April this year. As part of this visit, Dutch companies are ready to share their advanced knowledge and practical experience with students studying at Kazakh agricultural universities.

“I am sure that getting practical knowledge from the leading Dutch companies will be a good basis for the formation of own qualified personnel in agriculture,” said the CEO of the Dutch Greenhouse Delta company.

Summing up the event, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan thanked the representatives of the Dutch business for the kind words of support that the Embassy receives after the "January events" in Kazakhstan, and highly appreciated the readiness of Dutch entrepreneurs for further active cooperation with Kazakhstan.

Webinar organized by NASEC and Dutch Greenhouse Delta with the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Netherlands, Kazakh Invest, the German-Kazakhstan Agrarian-Political Dialogue and Union of greenhouses of Kazakhstan based on a memorandum between NASEC and Dutch Greenhouse Delta dated June 3, 2021.
