"New Kazakhstan" and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Romania - the agenda of the round table in Bucharest

A round table "Reforms in building a new Kazakhstan" was held in the format of a videoconference, which was attended by deputies of the Parliament and members of the Government of Romania, as well as representatives of business and academic circles, the Romanian media, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.

In his speech, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Nurbakh Rustemov informed the participants about the events of "tragic January". The Kazakh diplomat stressed that the competent authorities of Kazakhstan are conducting a thorough investigation of the events with the participation of human rights organizations to ensure openness and transparency.

The key attention was paid to the reforms and initiatives of the Head of State aimed at building a "New Kazakhstan", as well as priority areas of the Government's activities to improve the welfare of the population. At the same time, the Ambassador stressed our country's commitment to fulfilling all obligations and guarantees to the international community. During the event, a documentary film of the Khabar TV channel about the January tragic events in Kazakhstan was shown.

A separate topic of the event was the discussion of the upcoming celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Romania (July 15). In particular, key events in the history of bilateral relations were noted, as well as prospects for further development of Kazakh-Romanian cooperation and plans for holding festive events dedicated to this significant date (round tables, cinema days, exhibitions, concerts) were discussed.

The President of the Legislative Council of Romania, Florin Iordache, congratulated on the celebration of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations and noted the positive dynamics of the development of cooperation. He also expressed confidence in further building up active cooperation on a wide range of bilateral cooperation.

Romanian Minister of Agriculture Adrian Ionuț Chesnoiu stressed that Kazakhstan is Romania's largest trading partner in the Central Asian region. The Minister noted that Romania intends to develop active cooperation in the field of agriculture, which is one of the promising areas. In this regard, the agreement on cooperation in the field of agriculture between the relevant ministries of the two countries, which is under consideration by the parties, is designed to identify specific projects and new niches.

Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania Dan Iancu stressed that Kazakhstan is a key partner of Romania in Central Asia, with which dynamic and fruitful cooperation has been built in the fields of politics, economy and culture. In addition, the Romanian diplomat expressed condolences to the victims of the "tragic January", as well as hope for an objective and fair investigation of the events in Kazakhstan.

The President of the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Iuliu Stoklosa, expressed readiness to continue to cooperate with the Kazakh business, noting promising areas for the development of business ties.

President of the National Printing House of Romania, former Deputy Minister of Culture Mihai Firica and Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Cluj – President of Energobit Stefan Gadola positively noted the reform processes in the "New Kazakhstan" and made concrete proposals to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

The participants of the round table expressed warm wishes to Kazakhstan and our people.
