Senators Beibit Isabayev and Akhylbek Kurishbayev met with students of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
At the meeting titled “Reforms of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan: The Role and the Contribution of the Youth”, its participants discussed the initiatives of the Head of State to modernize the country and the issues of party transformation.
Senators told in detail about the proposed course of the reforms of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the “New Kazakhstan”, which seeks to increase incomes and living standards of Kazakhstani people.
The most interesting issue for students, as soon-to-be young professionals, was the resolution of unemployment problems in the country. Beibit Isabayev, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Social and Cultural Development and Science, emphasized that to ensure employment and growth of jobs, 10 National Projects are being implemented on the instructions of the President, which will contribute to the creation of hundreds of thousands of new jobs by 2025. Furthermore, the senator also dwelled on the reforms in the social sector, which will directly affect young people as well.
“In large cities, programs have already been launched that provide rental housing without a buyout for young people. Already now an important document, the Social Code, is being elaborated. The Code provides for the systematization of the social rights of citizens and minimum social standards. The duration of the participation period and the amount of remuneration under the projects “Youth Practice” and “First Workplace” will be increased,” the senator said.
Senator Akhylbek Kurishbayev stressed the importance of establishing a sustainable system of the upbringing of young people in universities to be based on national values.
“The Head of State noted that we must be able to protect national values if we want to withstand new challenges. We look with great hope at our youth who are getting higher education, and it is they who will continue the baton of creative deeds of the older generation, taking the leading role in the national economic modernization, which was voiced by the President. They should guard and multiply our absolute values - the unity of the people, its culture, language, and traditions that form the basis of the stable development of our society,” the senator said.
The meeting participants also talked about the issues of party transformation. Beibit Isabayev spoke about the priority tasks set by the Head of State, aimed at modernization of the activities of the “Amanat” party.
“Training of political cadres is an important priority for the “Amanat” party. I want to turn to you as representatives of the young generation. You should be active and choose your own way, shape your own destiny. Among other things, it is important to contribute to the work of political parties. The future of the country depends on it. Our “Amanat” party is going to rely on the young generation,” the senator said to sum up his speech.
In the course of the meeting, students asked questions exercising them about the provision of a fair social elevator, training of technical personnel, addressing the problems of multi-child families, development of villages, etc.
