Kazakhstan Stock Exchange JSC (hereinafter - the Exchange, KASE) is recognised as the Best Stock Exchange of Central Asia 2022 by the international CFI.co Awards 2022, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
In its awards programme, CFI.co magazine annually selects the companies and individuals that offer the highest quality services and have the greatest impact on the development of the industry. The international awards cover Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa, South East Asia and the Middle East, and cover such areas as IT technology, ESG, innovation and more.
CFI.co experts noted the positive dynamics of the Exchange's key indicators in recent years.
In 2021, the total trading volume on KASE increased by 47.8% to KZT174.4 trln. KASE has a wide range of financial instruments for currency, stock, money and derivatives markets. KASE lists 558 securities of 228 issuers, all licensed banks and brokers of Kazakhstan, as well as a number of foreign and international financial institutions have access to trading. In November 2021 KASE launched the "KASE Global" sector, which allows trading in shares of 43 companies listed on NASDAQ and NYSE.

The Exchange joined the UN Sustainable Exchange Initiative (SSE) in 2015. During this time it has provided the best conditions for offering Asian Development Bank and other major financial institutions' bonds on its ESG platform, developed the ESG disclosure methodology and is actively introducing it among Kazakhstani market participants".
