Oman introduced a 14 day visa-free regime for citizens of Kazakhstan. Therefore, Kazakhstanis from 1st April, 2022 are able visit the Sultanate without obtaining a tourist visa, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
Previously, to visit Oman without a tourist visa citizens of Kazakhstan had to have a valid visa from the USA, the Schengen countries or Japan in their passports.
It is worth noting that the extension of a visa-free stay in the country is not provided, violation of these rules entails a penalty of 10 omani rials (approximately USD 26) for each overdue day.
If citizens of Kazakhstan are planning a trip to Oman for more than 14 days, it is necessary to apply for a visa of the appropriate category. Also a return ticket and hotel reservation are required.
