Al-Farabi Kazakh National University celebrated Nauryz. The spring holiday on the KazNU campus began with the planting of a Christmas tree on the square of Al-Farabi Library. Rector of the University Zhanseit Tuymebayev together with foreign professors and deans of faculties planted about 100 Christmas trees on the territory of the campus, Delovoy Kazakhstan reports.
The guests, specially invited to the great holiday of the nation, visited 20 yurts built on the territory of the university and tasted the March table. Representatives of the older generation blessed the young people and told some stories from the genealogy.
The festive event continued with a concert program. Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dossayev, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Murat Zhurynov, former Chairman of the Supreme Court Musabek Alimbekov, statesmen and public figures Amandyk Batalov, Bakytzhan Sagintayev and university rectors, famous scientists, writers and media representatives were among the guests of Nauryz.
Chairman of the Board of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University - Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev congratulated the audience on Nauryz and expressed his best wishes. In his speech, the head of the school said that Nauryz is a holiday of unity and solidarity. "Congratulations on the great day of the nation - Nauryz! On this day, Mother Earth will be reborn and the world will be in a special state. In the minds of our people, Az Nauryz is a symbol of renewal and renewal, hope and faith. Friendship and peace, Kazakh hospitality are celebrated on the spring holiday. Succession of generations was a triumph. Respect for the elder, respect for the younger. May the future of our prosperous sovereign country be bright! ” - said the rector of the university.
The festive concert continued with a specially prepared theatrical performance. Kazakh traditions such as presentations, bridesmaids, betashar were presented to the public. Kazakh pop stars and talented young people of the university also sang, danced and entertained the audience.
In addition, competitions in Kazakh national sports, jewelry and a book exhibition were organized as part of Nauryz.
State and public figure Amandyk Batalov, who took part in the Nauryz holiday at KazNU, said: “This is my first participation in the Nauryz holiday on the KazNU campus. I am in a special mood.
